Jerry’s Home Furnishings was founded on the principles of Christian values, honesty, and fairness by Jerry Meckes and his 2 sons Tony and Kelly in 1986. Jerry’s first location was a vacated grocery store of 5,000 square feet opened in the neighborhood in which he lived and raised his family. Jerry and family would sell furniture and waterbeds by day and deliver the product by night. By 1988 Jerry Home Furnishings had grown to 3 stores totaling 15,000 square feet in 3 different cities across north central Ohio. Today, Jerrys has grown to over 40,000 square feet of showroom in 2 locations in Mansfield and Wooster Ohio with a fleet of delivery and service trucks to serve all of north central ohio from Cleveland to Columbus.
Jerry retired in 2007 and his two sons own and operate the business today. They have continued to operate the company with Christian values and are closed on Sundays so that they can spend time to practice their faith and spend time with family.
